Don't you love it when the underdog's on top

As I listened to 50 cent and The Game repeating a statement that caught my ears. I was inspired to write this blog. 'Don't you love it when the underdog's on top" followed with 'I will shine till my heart stop". I do not see any of them as underdogs. The route they took was easy. Yeah, I'm sure they felt some scratches but they followed the grain, followed the trail of misery that was offered to them. Those who truly are the underdogs, the ones who try to make it on top are rarely noticed. They are the ones who make the decisions against the grain. The underdogs are the ones who refused the dope when it was passed around, the ones who actually used school as an outlet to shine. But the underdogs are not respected until they turn into millionaires or contributing towards those who cared less about them. The underdogs are so often forgotten. But despite their situations they knew they where better than what was dealt to them and did great things with their lives. Things that uplifted their community not broke it down, things that brought pride to people, not disappointment. If the shinning some musicians rhyme of all the time is what people look for they are not underdogs, they are just part of the grain, part of this world. And frankly that shining will dull soon. For those out there who seek to better themselves and are tired of contradictions, please keep being underdogs don’t change for anyone, because your time to shine will come and it will shine forever. As a matter of fact that little light of yours always shone but the world has refused to see it, but the time will come when they will.
