As I listened to 50 cent and The Game repeating a statement that caught my ears. I was inspired to write this blog. 'Don't you love it when the underdog's on top" followed with 'I will shine till my heart stop". I do not see any of them as underdogs. The route they took was easy. Yeah, I'm sure they felt some scratches but they followed the grain, followed the trail of misery that was offered to them. Those who truly are the underdogs, the ones who try to make it on top are rarely noticed. They are the ones who make the decisions against the grain. The underdogs are the ones who refused the dope when it was passed around, the ones who actually used school as an outlet to shine. But the underdogs are not respected until they turn into millionaires or contributing towards those who cared less about them. The underdogs are so often forgotten. But despite their situations they knew they where better than what was dealt to them and did great things with their lives. Things that uplifted their community not broke it down, things that brought pride to people, not disappointment. If the shinning some musicians rhyme of all the time is what people look for they are not underdogs, they are just part of the grain, part of this world. And frankly that shining will dull soon. For those out there who seek to better themselves and are tired of contradictions, please keep being underdogs don’t change for anyone, because your time to shine will come and it will shine forever. As a matter of fact that little light of yours always shone but the world has refused to see it, but the time will come when they will.

She could have been saved
I recently looked at a court TV show about Madeline O'Hare, the one who supposedly "took prayer out of school", and I couldn’t help but feel as though she could have been saved. Our approach as Christians sometimes can be so against our beliefs and begin to turn us into monsters. I looked at the way supposed Christians reacted towards her because of her beliefs, and yet none tried to understand why she was so against God, and those who did, asked it in a reactionary state of anger. And on her disappearance many said "she deserved to die", "She gets what she deserved" and so many had bitter resentment towards her. But I feel as though God was saddened about her state of being and wanted to use us to heal that pain that was inside of her, that bitterness she felt for God only grew when our anger arose. I feel as though as Christians we love getting angry at people who openly hate God, and rather than find out why they feel the way they do, and at least know what is troubling them, we think we can be God's avengers. One statement I can say in admiration is that she at least was cold. She stuck by her belief. Sadly the only time we as Christians chose to is when our beliefs are threatened. If our faith in God was so strong and practiced what we preached, do we believe one atheist woman could shake us down and could change the course of history forever? If those prayers in school where genuine and not routine repetitions do we believe they would disappear so quickly? Our lukewarm state of being angers God and people's hate of God saddens Him. I urge all of us to take a minute and evaluate our lives and follow Christ's teachings. Learn the greatest commandment Christ left us “love one another”. Love isn’t always comfortable and as frilly as we think, it is sometimes convicting. Anyways that is another blog topic I'll delve into later. But I can’t help but feel as though she could be saved. If we could have found out why, maybe many more atheists could have been brought closer to God.
