Too stressed to be blessed

Did I lock that door? What would they think of me? What if I mess up? What does my future hold? Why do they hate me? Worry, worry, and worry!!! Most of our lives are wasted worrying. When most of our time is wasted focusing on ourselves and not God, we start being stressed and miss our blessings. We tend to forget that God is watching over us and won't let us go through things we cannot bare. We forget that even if we forgot to lock that door God is watching, that a robber can still break through a window if they wanted even if the door was locked. Yet God is still there to protect us. We forget that it really doesn’t matter what they think of us, that what God thinks of us is a lot more important. We forget that mess-ups are natural but we must learn from them and not repeat them. We forget that our future is not promised, but using our presents can define our futures. We forget that if they hated Christ they will hate us. That Christ went on despite the hate and made changes everywhere he went. All of our worries can easily dissipate if we realize who is watching over us. I understand those who do not have Christ in their lives worrying because they do not have that security that God is always watching. But those of us who do let's remember that worrying do not solve anything but take away from the abundant life God wants us to lead. If God care about the sparrows that where sold for pennies (Matthew 10:29) and loves them how much more do you think he cares for us. Let’s not give power to worries instead let's trust God with our lives and live fearlessly.

Great entry. I couldnt agree with you more. Even the strongest Christian has a brief spirit of worriness. I try my best not to bc like you said God is watching and protecting everything that I do. I always tell myself when I start to worry too much "If you are going to pray DONT WORRY! If you gonna worry DON'T PRAY". So I pray about it and let it go. Worries are like trash. Put the trash out and let the garbage man (God) take care of it!! Dont worry about where it is going just know that it is taken care of. Peace + Love.
